The K–12 Teacher will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students from Kindergarten to Grade 12, depending on subject specialization and school requirement.
The role includes academic instruction, child development support, classroom management, and holistic education aligned with NEP 2020 standards.
2. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Teaching & Learning Delivery
- Teach subject(s) assigned across K–12 levels:
- Kindergarten: Early Literacy, Numeracy, Motor skills, Rhymes, Art
- Primary (Grades 1–5): English, Math, EVS, Social Skills
- Middle School (Grades 6–8): Subject-specific teaching (Math/Science/SST/English/Hindi)
- High School (9–12): Specialized subjects based on qualification (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Maths, Commerce, Humanities, etc.)
- Use interactive, activity-based, child-friendly teaching methods.
- Prepare lesson plans as per curriculum (CBSE/ICSE/State/IB).
- Integrate digital tools, models, play-based learning, and real-life examples.
B. Classroom Management
- Maintain a positive, safe, inclusive, child-friendly learning environment.
- Manage students’ behavior with empathy and discipline.
- Support emotional, social, and moral development of children.
- Ensure classroom hygiene, routines, and learning structure.
C. Student Assessment & Progress Tracking
- Conduct:
- Formative & summative assessments
- Worksheets, quizzes
- Projects, portfolios
- Evaluate student progress and maintain records.
- Provide feedback to parents and students regularly.
- Identify children with learning gaps and provide remedial support.
D. Content & Material Preparation
- Prepare teaching materials:
- Worksheets
- Charts
- Activity kits
- Digital presentations
- Use NEP 2020 and NCF guidelines for curriculum development.
- Create differentiated lesson plans for mixed-ability learners.
E. Parent Engagement
- Conduct parent-teacher meetings (PTMs).
- Communicate behaviour, academic progress, and concerns professionally.
- Provide counselling and guidance for child development when needed.
F. Holistic Development Activities
- Participate in:
- School functions
- Assemblies
- Cultural events
- Sports activities
- Club activities (arts, science, reading, etc.)
- Promote values like teamwork, discipline, and creativity.
3. Skills & Competencies Required
- Strong command over subject(s) taught.
- Excellent communication (English/Hindi/regional language).
- Creativity and ability to handle young children with patience.
- Classroom management, storytelling, activity planning skills.
- Knowledge of NEP 2020, child psychology, and modern pedagogy.
- Ability to use digital tools, smart boards, and educational software.
- Empathy, warmth, and ability to work with children of varied levels.
- Team collaboration with other teachers and school staff.
4. Qualifications
- For Kindergarten:
- NTT / Montessori Training / ECCE / B.El.Ed preferred.
- For Primary (1–5):
- D.El.Ed / B.Ed / B.El.Ed / Graduation in relevant subject.
- For Middle (6–8):
- Graduation + B.Ed / M.Ed + subject specialization.
- For Secondary (9–10):
- Post-graduation + B.Ed in respective subject.
- For Senior Secondary (11–12):
- Master’s degree in subject + B.Ed / M.Ed.
Candidates with experience in IB / Cambridge schools may require additional certifications.
5. Experience
- 1–10 years of teaching experience preferred.
- Freshers with strong teaching skills and training also considered.
- Special preference for teachers experienced in early childhood education.
