The Department of Integrative Biology is seeking a candidate who will help advance ecological and evolutionary research in the Ives laboratory. Ecological and evolutionary processes can operate on the same time scales when ecological forces are sufficient to drive strong selection. The Ives laboratory focuses on fusing theoretical and experimental approaches from ecology and evolution in order to enrich our understanding of both ecological and evolutionary dynamics.
Our research program is multidisciplinary involving large-scale field experiments and surveys, long-term laboratory experiments, and intensive data analysis. The ideal candidate will be expected to execute routine and complex research experiments, including but not limited to the following duties: preform fieldwork in agricultural and natural areas; build strong relationships with field station personnel; run long-term cage experiments in field and laboratory conditions; lead and train students and technicians; collect and identify plants and insects in the field and under a stereoscope; analyze data in R; write manuscripts and give academic presentations.

Compensation:
The typical starting salary for this position is $61,388 (annual). Actual pay will be determined depending on qualifications and experience.
