Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Scribe/Medical Assistant to join our team. This role combines administrative and clinical responsibilities to support our providers and ensure smooth daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Scribing: Accurately document patient encounters, including medical history, exam findings, and treatment plans, in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Patient Care: Assist with pre-testing procedures, including visual acuity tests, tonometry, and imaging as needed.
• Administrative Support: Schedule appointments, verify insurance, and manage patient files with accuracy and confidentiality.
• Clinic Operations: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, restock exam rooms, and ensure equipment is properly sanitized and ready for use.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with ophthalmologist, optometrist, and other team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a healthcare or optometry setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency with computer systems and EMR software; experience with optometry-specific platforms is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification in medical assisting or scribing is a plus.
