Responsibilities

• 
  Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test frameworks and test suites for web, API, and mobile applications.

• 
  Collaborate closely with development, product, and DevOps teams to ensure quality is built into every phase of the SDLC.

• 
  Derive and manage detailed test plans, including scope, timelines, risks, dependencies, and deliverables.

• 
  Define and implement QA processes, standards, and best practices aligned with Agile/DevOps methodologies.

• 
  Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing using both manual and automated techniques.

• 
  Own the test strategy and ensure test coverage aligns with project requirements and business priorities.

• 
  Create and manage reusable test data and maintain automation scripts in version control systems (e.g., Git).

• 
  Proactively identify, log, and track defects; perform root cause analysis to drive continuous improvement.

• 
  Work closely with developers to debug issues and verify fixes, ensuring timely closure of defects.

• 
  Participate actively in Agile ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Stand-ups, and Retrospectives.

• 
  Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.

• 
  Generate structured test execution reports and quality metrics for leadership and project stakeholders.

• 
  Continuously evaluate emerging tools, technologies, and frameworks to improve test efficiency and reliability.

Requirements

• 
  Minimum 6–8 years of experience in software testing, with at least 4 years in test automation or SDET roles.

• 
  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (BE/BTech); a post-graduate or management degree is a plus.

• 
  Strong experience in test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, TestNG, JUnit, or Pytest).

• 
  Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language: Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#.

• 
  Experience in API testing and automation using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or Karate.

• 
  Exposure to CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) and version control (Git).

• 
  Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• 
  Hands-on experience with test management tools such as Jira, Zephyr, or TestRail.

• 
  Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling) and/or security testing basics is a plus.

• 
  Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.

• 
  Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• 
  Preferred certifications: ISTQB, CSTE, or Selenium WebDriver Certification.

• 
  (Preferred) Experience in the Airline or Travel industry and familiarity with domain-specific testing scenarios.
