Sea Freight Coordinator

Intercargo Logistics SMC-Private Limited is a freight forwarding company which is offering one point solution to customers across the world. We for now are looking to fill in the position of Sea Freight Coordinator for our branch office based in Islamabad, Pakistan.

Job Timing: 1:30 PM-10:30 PM (Winters) / 12:30 PM - 9:30 PM (Summers)

Location: 2nd Floor, OneExpressway, Gulberg Greens Interchange, Islamabad

Job Description:

1. To handle the full array of sea freight booking tasks in CargoWise system as per the rules pronounced by HMRC in conjunction with BIFFA guidelines;

2. Drafting and finalizing the House Sea Way Bills and the final copies of Master Bills of Ladings for the shipments booked through Intercargo Logistics;

3. Filing of export customs clearance declaration in Cargowise system by following the rules framed by HMRC UK;

4. Chasing the booking and tracking of all the outbound sea shipments through active coordination with shipping lines;

5. Arranging the pre-alerts and seeking in-time collection of goods and documents from different clients based on the nature of booked service;

6. Maintaining active coordination with clients over the phone calls, emails and Zendesk based ticketing system;

7. Handling the billing task as per the provided schedule of charges against the different provided services;

8. Maintaining and annexing the complete documentation record on case to case basis within and outside the provided system;

9. And arranging for the delivery and collection of goods through maintenance of active coordination with the hauliers.

Job Requirements;

1. The ideal candidate for this position comes with good understanding and hands on experience of dealing with sea shipment tasks;

2. He/She should be completely familiar with the Incoterms, their use and the procedures linked to same for handling of different shipments;

3. The candidate should come with the basic industrial knowledge on how to handle the shipment in different modes of transportation through a freight forwarder perspective;

4. The candidate should be having exposure to both the LCL and FCL shipments;

5. Strong communication skills with command over English is highly desired with proficiency in outlook-based email coordination;

Salary: Upto 60k (depending upon the experience and demonstrated/proven skills)

Education and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business management or any related discipline;

Extraordinary English fluency with strong written communication and interpersonal skills to deal with customer service;

Advanced ability to work comfortably with Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
