Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Seafood Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will specialize in preparing high-quality seafood dishes, ensuring freshness, taste, and presentation meet company standards while maintaining strict hygiene and food safety practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of seafood dishes (fish, prawns, lobster, crab, etc.)
- Clean, cut, and portion seafood items efficiently
- Ensure freshness and quality of all seafood products
- Develop and follow standard recipes and presentation guidelines
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with storekeeper for seafood inventory
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen at all times
- Follow food safety standards (HACCP compliance)
- Work closely with Head Chef and kitchen team for daily operations
- Minimize wastage and ensure cost control
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Seafood Chef or similar role
- Strong knowledge of seafood handling, cleaning, and cooking techniques
- Ability to identify fresh vs. spoiled seafood
- Knowledge of international seafood cuisines is an advantage
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Valid QID and transferable visa (if applicable)
