Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented experienced 5 Axis CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team within a growing family owned business. The successful candidate will be responsible for set up and operating Homag and Felder 5 Axis CNCs producing high-quality timber products in line with project specifications.Key responsibilities:<ul><li>Set up and operate CNC machines with a focus on 5-axis machining and timber components.</li><li>Program and edit CNC code to produce complex parts with high precision and accuracy.</li><li>Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance.</li><li>Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to determine machining requirements.</li><li>Monitor and inspect machined parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.</li><li>Follow SOP&rsquo;s to ensure parts are machined correctly and to the correct requirements.</li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to CNC machining processes.</li><li>Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a secure working environment.</li><li>Document and maintain accurate records of production runs, machine settings, and tool changes.</li></ul>Key requirements:<ul><li>Proven experience as a CNC Machinist, with a focus on 5-axis machining.</li><li>Proficiency in programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines.</li><li>Solid understanding of machining processes and timber.</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.</li><li>Excellent communication and teamwork skills.</li><li>Knowledge of safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.</li><li>Willingness to work overtime and be flexible to accommodate production demands.</li><li>Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
