The Director of Athletics and Afternoon Activities supervises all department personnel, including: the Associate Athletic Director, Athletic Trainer, Equipment Manager, Coaches, Assistant Coaches, and Afternoon Activity Leaders. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The institutional character of the boarding school environment requires that many job responsibilities are scheduled after formal class time, in the afternoons, mealtimes, evenings, and on weekends. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:<ul><li>
Direct and coordinate all aspects of Webb&rsquo;s comprehensive afternoon activity program, encompassing athletics and all co-curricular programs (including, but not limited to: Theater Arts, Dance, Museum Research, Yearbook, Robotics, and Science Fair Activity) to ensure high-quality, diverse programming that provides balanced and engaging opportunities for students.</li><li>
Oversee the athletic and afternoon activity sign-up process and ensure that school athletic requirements are implemented.</li><li>
Collaborate with coaches and afternoon activity leaders to ensure ongoing supportoftheir programs.</li><li>
Represent The Webb Schools in the Western Athletic Conference, California Interscholastic Federation, and other institutional affiliations.</li><li>
Developcompetition schedulesfor varsity and junior varsity teamsin order toassure competitive balance,appropriate numbersof games for each team, and good match with the academic, residential, andspecial eventsschedules and calendars of The Webb Schools.</li><li>

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

A current California driver license with a satisfactory motor vehicle record. A criminal background check must be successfully completed before employment can begin.

JOB SUMMARY
<ul><li>The Assistant District Attorney who supervises the General Trial Unit will be responsible for overseeing prosecution of all general trial cases.

<div>Responsibilities</div>
<ul><li>Select an accredited curriculum based on each classroom&rsquo;s needs and programs</li>
<li>Ensure that we are always in compliance with county and state regulations, as well as with the Department of Education</li>
<li>Manage staff expectations and handle any issues, including scheduling and interpersonal conflicts that may arise</li>
<li>Review and approve all lesson plans, printed materials, bulletin announcements, and newsletters</li>
<li>Plan extra-curricular activities, including in-house entertainment and field trips or destinations</li>
</ul><div>Qualifications</div>
<ul><li>A Florida Director Credential issued by the Florida Department of Children and Families</li>
<li> VPK Director Endorsement</li>
<li>Past experience working with children</li>
<li>Associate&rsquo;s or bachelor&rsquo;s degree in education is preferred</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience managing a team</li>
<li>Deep understanding of childcare, child development, and education</li>
<li>Implementing the Florida Standards in Preschool Classroom: 3 Years Old to Kindergarten (VFSP or SPC3TK) - 5 Hour Online Course or 3 Hour Instructor-Led Course
</li><li>Emergent Literacy for VPK Instructors (VPK, VPKR, or VPK21) - 5 Hour Online Course
</li><li>VPK Director Credential (DVPK) - 5 Hour Online Course
</li><li>Mathematical Thinking for Early Learners (MATH) - 5 Hour Online Course
</li><li>Language and Vocabulary in the VPK Classroom (LVPK or LVPK21) - 5 Hour Online Course</li></ul></div></div>
