<div><div>The UH-60 Aircraft Mechanic AM-2 (UH-60 Army Aviation) performs the full range of military tactical aircraft maintenance and maintains repairs and troubleshoots malfunctions in aircraft structure, landing gear, flight surfaces and controls, anti-icing, pneudraulic, engines, auxiliary power unit, and ventilation and heating systems.</div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div>

Aircraft Mechanic II (UH-60) - Buehring, Kuwait

<div>Essential Responsibilities:
The designee is responsible for maintaining situational awareness of airfield activities and overall
responsibility for AMOPS section while on duty to provide a safe, efficient, and effective airfield environment for aircraft operations. The designee performs airfield inspections and checks for safety and compliance with planning and design criteria. Plans, organizes, and directs airfield activities to include airfield construction/repairs, airfield driving program, ice/snow removal operations, Bird/Wildlife control, etc. Procures, maintains, and produces information on safe operation of aircraft through the national and international airspace system such as Flight Information Publications, aeronautical charts and maps, NOTAM, local airfield and navigational aid status, and weather information. Process domestic and international flight plans. Coordinates with base agencies to meet
aircrew requirements for billeting, messing, refueling, transportation, and transient aircraft maintenance.
Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:<ul>

Graduate of an approved DoD/Airfield Managers course or equivalent and aviation related experience as aircrew/dispatcher/flight follower with a 14 CFR Part 121 or 14 CFR Part 135 operator.</li>

<div>The Aviation Life Support Equipment (ALSE) Technician serves as focal point for all logistics and repair functions for all supplied ALSE, first aid kits and Night Vision Devices.
Principal Accountabilities<ul>
<li>
Inspects and approves completed maintenance actions, solves repair problems by studying drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics, and technical publications.</li>
<li>
Inspects, instructs, services and certifies individual and crew equipment</li>
<li>
Order, receive and inventory kits and components</li>
<li>
Resolve shipping discrepancies</li>
<li>
Ensure proper fit of crew member clothing</li>
<li>
Maintain ALSE and NVD for DoS and DI personnel</li>
<li>
Maintain computerized inventories and records to ensure timely and accurate compliance with inspection intervals</li>
<li>
Provides instruction to contractor and host nation personnel regarding the proper use and care of equipment</li>
<li>
Perform other duties as assigned.</li>

Minimum Requirements:<ul>

High School diploma or equivalent is required.</li>
<li>
One (1) year verifiable experience as an ALSE Technician.</li>
<li>
Must possess a certificate of training as a school trained ALSE Technician.</li>

Valid US Passport (minimum 2.5 years validity) Required for deployment to Germany.</li>
<li>
Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance, NAC-I T1 Public Trust. ** US Citizenship is required to obtain a T1/CAC NACI Clearance.</li>

Must meet and be able to pass CENTCOM Medical requirements, prior to deployment.</li>

Ability to obtain a favorable background check for Kuwait PCC and obtain a Kuwait Visa.</li>
