Job Description &ndash; Construction EstimatorJob Title: Construction Estimator Location: Ajman, United Arab Emirates Employment Type: Full-Time Industry: ConstructionAbout the RoleWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our team in Ajman, UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects by analysing drawings, specifications, labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs. The ideal candidate will help ensure projects are competitively priced while maintaining profitability and cost efficiency.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Review architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings and project specifications.</li><li>Prepare accurate project cost estimates and tender submissions.</li><li>Perform quantity take-offs from construction drawings.</li><li>Estimate material, labour, equipment, and subcontractor costs.</li><li>Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and detailed pricing schedules.</li><li>Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors and evaluate pricing.</li><li>Analyse project risks and identify cost-saving opportunities.</li><li>Assist in preparing tender documents and bid proposals.</li><li>Coordinate with engineers, architects, project managers, and procurement teams.</li><li>Monitor market prices for construction materials and labour.</li><li>Maintain an updated cost database for materials, equipment, and subcontractors.</li><li>Prepare value engineering proposals to optimise project costs.</li><li>Review contract documents and identify potential commercial risks.</li><li>Support project teams with budget planning and cost forecasting.</li><li>Ensure estimates comply with company standards and client requirements.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.</li><li>Minimum 3&ndash;5 years of UAE experience in construction estimation.</li><li>Experience in residential, commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects.</li><li>Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and UAE building standards.</li></ul>Technical Skills<ul><li>Quantity Take-Off</li><li>Cost Estimation</li><li>Tender Preparation</li><li>BOQ Preparation</li><li>Rate Analysis</li><li>Cost Planning &amp; Budgeting</li><li>AutoCAD (drawing interpretation)</li><li>Microsoft Excel (Advanced)</li><li>Microsoft Office Suite</li><li>MS Project or Primavera (preferred)</li><li>Knowledge of UAE construction contracts and procurement procedures</li></ul>Core Competencies<ul><li>Excellent analytical and numerical skills</li><li>Strong attention to detail</li><li>Commercial awareness</li><li>Negotiation and communication skills</li><li>Time management and organisational abilities</li><li>Problem-solving and decision-making</li><li>Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines</li><li>Team player with strong coordination skills</li></ul>Preferred Requirements<ul><li>Valid UAE Driving Licence (preferred).</li><li>Experience with cost estimation software is an advantage.</li><li>Immediate joiners or candidates with a short notice period are preferred.</li></ul>How to ApplyInterested candidates may send their updated CV tohr@eminentgroupdubai.com+971 521192734Work Location: In person
