Job Description

Job Duration: 6 Months Contract (Extendable)
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Purchase Coordinator to join our team. This critical role is responsible for managing our procurement and sourcing activities, requiring a candidate with a specific set of skills and experience. The ideal candidate will be a proactive negotiator with a strong background in our industry.
Key Responsibilities: 
The Purchase Coordinator will be instrumental in driving our procurement strategy, with key responsibilities centered around:
<ul><li>Strategic sourcing and supplier management.</li>
<li>Conducting supplier negotiations to secure optimal terms.</li>
<li>Managing purchase orders and ensuring timely delivery.</li>
<li>Maintaining accurate records and reports.</li>
<li>Collaborating with internal departments to fulfill material and service requirements.</li>
</ul>
Essential Qualifications &amp; Experience:
To be considered for this position, candidates must unequivocally meet the following criteria:
<ul><li>Education: Diploma graduate.</li>
<li>Core Experience: A minimum of 5 years&rsquo; proven experience in sourcing and supplier negotiation.</li>
<li>Technical Skills:
<ul><li>Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.</li>
<li>Experience with Oracle software is preferred.</li>
</ul></li><li>Professional Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and negotiation skills.</li>
<li>Industry Background: Demonstrable experience in the marine, industrial, or logistics industry. (Experience in the marine sector is highly preferred).</li>
</ul>
