The Director &ndash; Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) Program /Physician identifies and articulates the vision, strategic direction, and growth of the Program and develops implementation strategies to achieve them. The postholder will have specialist knowledge in pediatric Hematology and/or Oncology and/or Immunology and innovative cell and gene therapy treatments.
 
 
 The post holder participates and leads in divisional and interdisciplinary meetings, as required. The Director BMT Program will carry out relevant clinically focused translational innovation to improve the work of the Program, to improve existing treatment plans and/or develop/test novel and experimental treatments.

 Plans, implements, and evaluates interventions to meet those needs which are appropriate to the scope of the Program and in accordance to organizational standards and accreditation requirements.

 Collaborates with the multidisciplinary health care team to devise treatment plans to ensure the delivery of high quality and evidence-based services that are sufficient, efficient and responsive, and designed to meet the identified patient/family care needs and organizational outcomes.

 Contributes to ensuring that clinical practices within the BMT program follow all applicable standards and requirements of the Joint Commission International, Qatar Ministry of Public Health, JACIE-FACT standards and all other applicable regulatory bodies.

 Elicits, performs and records the history and physical examinations on assigned patients and develops a differential diagnosis for the presenting problem and implements a plan for diagnosis and management.
