Position Summary 
 
The Clinical Development Program Leader sits within Clinical Development, which is a global organization dedicated to the effective design and execution of drug development. Clinical Development drives clinical development strategy, design, execution, and interpretation of clinical trials.

Experience Requirements:<ul><li>
The ideal candidate will be a clinical development leader; with greater than 10 years of extensive clinical trial, drug development, and regulatory experience, in addition to a strong scientific background</li><li>
Management experience will be important since this individual will manage a group of professionals including MDs or PhDs or PharmDs with clinical research experience.</li><li>
The successful candidate will understand early-stage drug development, extensive experience designing and conducting Phase I, II and Phase III clinical trials, and should have demonstrable success filing regulatory dossiers and prosecuting them through approval</li><li>
Global experiences is a plus since this position has responsibility for strategy and clinical research in oncology in multiple geographies</li><li>
Experience interacting with business development and licensing, particularly helping to evaluate the technical and franchise aspects for potential in-licensing opportunities that shape the oncology clinical development strategy</li></ul>

Lead quality improvement initiatives for preservation times, logistical efficiency, and organ handling processes.</li><li>
Collaborate with surgeons and clinical teams to evaluate and optimize perfusion outcomes, case readiness, and procedural quality</li><li>
Support internal audit processes, policy updates ant training required for regulatory compliance.</li></ul> 
Equipment, Perfusion Devices &amp; Supply Oversight:<ul><li>
Manage the maintenance, calibration, and readiness of all organ perfusion pumps, transport devices, and specialized procurement equipment.</li><li>
Set up and oversee supply management, inventory, and replacement cycles to ensure equipment availability for urgent cases.</li></ul> 
Cross-Functional Collaboration:<ul><li>
Serve as the primary operational liaison between IHOPP, transplant surgeons, anesthesia, OR leadership, Life Flight, clinical coordinators, Donor Connect, and other external partners.</li><li>
Attend multidisciplinary transplant committees, contributing operational expertise to improve organ access and outcomes.</li><li>
Maintain strong relationships with OPOs, donor hospitals, and transport partners to ensure seamless processes and communication.</li></ul> 
On-Call &amp; Direct Support:<ul><li>
Participate in procurement rotation 35-50% of their time.</li><li>
Step in as needed to assist with procurement or perfusion activities during high-volume periods, staff shortages, or complex cases.</li></ul>

Coordinates performance and compliance with patient safety initiatives, federal, state, and other regulatory bodies such as UNOS, Joint Commission, CMS, DOPL ABTC, and other unit specific accrediting and certifying bodies.
</li><li>Assists with the achievement of clinical program goals and may implement action plans to improve performance as delegated.</li><li>

Requirements:<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in nursing (BSN). Education must be obtained from an accredited institution. Degree will be verified.</li><li>
Current RN License in state of practice or compact with ability to change to Utah License within 60 days.</li><li>
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.</li><li>
RN Leadership or supervisory experience.</li><li>
Demonstrated clinical experience in Organ Transplant or Hepatology.</li></ul>

1-2 years experience in organ procurement and perfusion
