This role requires an individual with proven experience in large-scale infrastructure projects, especially in the aviation sector, with a deep understanding of construction methodologies, cost control, and risk management.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Cost Management:</li><li>Prepare, manage, and update project budgets, forecasts, and cost plans.</li><li>Monitor, control, and report on project expenditure to ensure adherence to approved budgets.</li><li>Analyze variances between planned and actual costs, and recommend corrective actions.</li><li>Contract Administration:</li><li>Lead contract negotiations and manage all pre and post-contract activities, including tendering, procurement, and sub-contractor management.</li><li>Evaluate contract variations, claims, and ensure contract compliance.</li><li>Prepare monthly valuations, payments, and final accounts in line with contract requirements.</li><li>Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks related to project costs and timelines.</li><li>Ensure proactive measures are in place to manage cost risks, claims, and delays.</li><li>Conduct value engineering and cost-benefit analysis to optimize project efficiency and ensure cost-effective solutions are implemented without compromising quality.</li><li>Reporting and Documentation:</li><li>Provide regular financial progress reports, including cost-to-complete reports and earned value analysis.</li><li>Maintain up-to-date documentation on project costs, variations, claims, and approvals.</li><li>Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management:</li><li>Lead and mentor a team of junior quantity surveyors and contract administrators.</li><li>Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, engineers, contractors, and client representatives.</li><li>Attend regular project meetings, providing input on project financials and contract matters.</li><li>Compliance:</li><li>Ensure all works are in line with the applicable regulations, legal requirements, and industry standards.</li><li>Promote compliance with health and safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.</li></ul>Requirements:<ul><li>Experience:</li><li>Minimum 15 years of experience in quantity surveying, with a strong focus on large-scale infrastructure projects, preferably in airport construction.</li><li>Education:</li><li>Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or Civil Engineering.</li><li>Chartered status (MRICS or equivalent) is highly desirable.</li><li>Technical Skills:</li><li>Proficiency in quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, CATO, or equivalent).</li><li>Strong understanding of FIDIC contracts and other construction contract forms.</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>Previous experience working on international airport projects.</li><li>Knowledge of local construction regulations and standards.</li></ul>Note: Ready to join immediately.
