ResponsibilitiesTechnical responsibilities<ul><li>Ensuring compliance with the safety standards and transportation department SOPs.</li><li>The trailer driver shall ensure that the trailer that he is working with function correctly, properly maintained and that all maintenance activities are properly documented before commencing each shift, the trailer driver must perform the relevant checks to ensure that equipment is safe to continue the operation.</li><li>Inspect chains, slings, ropes, cables, hooks and lifting gear for flaws and damage such as cracks, wear, corrosion, and report defects.</li><li>When loading finished, check security and balance of the loads on the trailers flat bed and verify the function of the trailers brakes before starting the trip.</li><li>When lifting a load, ensure it is well secured and the brakes function of the lifting equipment is working properly.</li><li>With Third party Training certificate in Safe Driving.</li><li>Must hold a Qatar Driving License and certificate of competence and previous experience in Oil &amp; Gas / Logistic / Transportation sectors</li><li>Follow signals from assigned signalman when maneuvering the trailer into loading / offloading areas.</li></ul>General responsibilities<ul><li>Ensure that working area is clear of any unforeseen potential hazards before starting the trip.</li><li>Ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods.</li><li>Immediately stop the trailer if it became unsafe to continue the trip.</li><li>Keep all involved persons in the working area fully aware of the loading / unloading activity.</li><li>Must have minimum secondary level of education.</li><li>Knowledge of hazards and safety precautions in the Safe Driving</li><li>Age between 30 and 45 years old</li><li>Able to speaks and writes in English.</li><li>Physically fit with good hearing and eyesight.
