 This role will report into Tesco's legal team based in Bengaluru and support Tesco's UK-based Tesco's Heads of Legal for Litigation and Employment (UK), predominantly in

 Mass action litigation:
 
 You will work closely with Tesco's UK-based Heads of Legal for Litigation and Employment, and Tesco's external solicitors, producing written work and updates to both teams. This will include:

 &bull; Updating and maintaining trackers with details of claims brought, withdrawn or amended and preparing monthly status updates.
 
 &bull; Renewing annual document hold notice distribution; updating and maintaining document preservation trackers with details of internal document custodians, in-scope systems and third parties who hold documents relevant to the claim. Responding to ad hoc internal queries re same.
 
 &bull; Monitoring internal mailbox for business queries relating to the Equal Pay litigation and preservation of documents relevant to the claim.
 
 &bull; Reviewing and running searches against internal documents to fact-find in response to queries and prepare summaries of findings.
 
 &bull; Making internal inquiries within Tesco to answer factual questions from external solicitors and reporting back to solicitor team.
 
 Wider Litigation support:
 
 &bull; Information and document gathering from internal Tesco stakeholders in response to queries from the business and external lawyers / advisors.
 
 &bull; Preparing and distributing Document Preservation Notices for new and ongoing matters, maintaining tracker of responses and leading annual refreshers.

 Position Summary:
 
 As a Senior Legal Counsel, the incumbent will work with the Head of Legal or the Head of the respective business. They will handle diverse business transactions, ensuring such transactions are properly recorded through agreements after ascertaining all relevant facts. The role involves staying updated on legal developments, drafting, reading, and reviewing agreements, advising on legal risks, and handling disputes. The Senior Legal Counsel will be responsible for providing legal advice and support to PUMA India, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and mitigating legal risks. They will also ensure that agreements and transactions are lawfully recorded, that all relevant points of law (including amendments and changes) are duly considered, and that appropriate guidance is provided to business teams.

 Advising on Legal Matters: Providing expert legal guidance to the team and other stakeholders on various legal issues, including contract negotiation and risk management.

 LLB from a reputed law college, with 15+ years of experience and strong knowledge of the law.

 An Indian subsidiary of Amazon.com, (a US based MNC) in the ecommerce business, has an exciting opening for a smart, young candidates for the role of &ldquo;Associate Corporate Counsel&rdquo;, with 3-5 years of post-qualification experience to provide legal advisory and contract management support to various businesses of Amazon in India. The position is based in Bangalore and is for a fixed term of 3 years. The ACC will report to a Corporate Counsel / Senior Corporate Counsel position based in Bangalore.
 
 
 The Attorney will partner with the legal team and their business operations clients to achieve operational excellence, advise on a range of issues to ensure compliance with local regulations, including secretarial compliance. The attorney will also be responsible for end-to-end negotiation and documentation of a variety of third party contractual relationships, including procurement contracts, master service agreements, sales, advertising agreements, and NDAs. The Attorney must have excellent written and oral communication skills as this position involves direct contact with principal business owners.
 
 
 Key job responsibilities

 Providing ongoing legal counseling and advise on a wide range of legal areas, such as intellectual property, digital media, e-commerce marketplace, company secretarial and regulatory compliance

 Resolving issues that arise in existing commercial relationships and handling pre-litigation legal disputes and inquiries

 Experience and strong skills in drafting and end-to-end negotiation of contracts while ensuring that all contracts align with company policies, legal requirements, and business objectives.

 Ability to review various program constructs for new and existing business initiatives, develop/refine terms and conditions for different programs and services

 Ability to review and approve promotional artwork and advertisements across print and digital media and ensure that all marketing materials comply with Amazon standards

 Excellent ability to analyze and assess business processes, understand business requirements, draft scope of contract, etc. Ability to function autonomously yet communicates laterally and upwardly with ease.
