 MWR/Fitness Specialist
 
 , you execute successful operations of physical fitness and wellness programs, recreational programs and social activities, including the operation and maintenance of recreational and fitness facilities. The Specialist shall actively engage with customers regarding programs and events and shall encourage participation. The Specialist shall be present at events to effectively execute and monitor the programs. Duties will include cashier functions, setup and hosting of activities and events, inventory control and counting, customer service, retail support, library and learning resource support, alcohol service &amp; sales, and other duties as assigned.

MWR/Fitness Specialist

 As the
 
 MWR Fitness Specialist
 
 , you will work in the MWR and Fitness Areas. Although your primary location will be Ali Al Salem Air Base, expectation is you to be available to perform duties at all MWR and Fitness locations as required.
 
 
 As a Fitness Specialist you will be conducting activities and/or event that will be held twice on the day it is scheduled, at each service location, so both shifts have the ability to participate. Run and manage resale activities including alcohol sales. Must be knowledgeable of the regulations and rules of play regarding all weekly recreational activities and tournaments hosted within the facilities, with the ability to promptly answer all guest inquiries. Will be hosting MWR special events. Hosting an event may include set-up and tear down of equipment and decorations, audiovisual support, arranging/providing transportation (to include qualified licensed drivers and vehicles) of entertainers (estimated maximum of 20) between point of arrival and the base and during their stay on base, escorting entertainers to and from the event, and providing labor and supervision to support the event as required. As the Recreation Specialist, you may also work in the Lodging office completing reservations, in-processing and out-processing of personnel and performing vacant room checks.

 Must possess an American Red Cross CPR Certificate, an American Red Cross Standard First Aid certificate or local equivalent certifications (as approved by the ACO), and an Automated External Defibrillator Certification.

 Perform successful operations of 24-hour Recreation and Fitness Centers inclusive of fitness &amp; sports and recreation programs ensuring all PWS requirements are maintained.

 Perform or oversee the maintenance of the facility ensuring a clean, sanitary, presentable, professional work area free of dirt, debris, clutter, trash and dust.

 Perform cleaning, maintenance and repairs of all fitness equipment related to the fitness program.

 Primary Objective
 
 
 
 Coordinates all estimating activities on assigned project(s). Exercises a strong working knowledge of home office services, field indirect, and craft labor using a background of diversified experience and familiarity with typical project controls software such as DMCS (Document and Material Control System). Must have a clear understanding of, and ability to work with, engineering drawings and specifications.
 
 
 Develop estimating procedures for the Alliance, execute and supervise estimates for modifications and additions to the clients' facilities. The estimates are to include all phases of execution of the work from front end engineering through to closeout. During the pre-engineering phase the estimator will compare estimates of alternative solutions and provide input to selection of the adopted option.
 
 
 
 Specific Accountabilities
 
 
 
 <ul>

 Prepares material takeoffs on the most complex projects, drawings, and plans. Reviews takeoffs provided by the Engineering Department and checks for mathematical and technical accuracy.

 Develop procedures for the preparation of estimates for modifications and additions to the onshore and offshore facility.
 </li>
 <li>
 Prepare and/or supervise the preparation of estimates in accordance with the approved procedure for all phases of the works from the agreed engineering deliverables to the appropriate level of accuracy.
 </li>
 <li>
 Receive the engineering estimate from the lead/project engineer for each modification/addition and incorporate into the overall estimate for all phases of the work.
 </li>
 <li>
 Prepare rationale statements to support the estimate identifying areas of weakness and or areas of risk.
 </li>
 <li>
 Carry out validation and verification of the estimates using high level norms and by comparing with previous estimates, outcome costs and vendor prices.
 </li>
 <li>
 Continuously monitor the performance of the estimating process as part of the KPIs for the contract.
 </li>
 <li>
 From evaluation of the KPI data identify and make recommendations for improvement of the process.
 </li>

 Assists in training, developing, and maintaining a staff of estimators qualified to carry out departmental and project needs.
