Job descriptionJob Overview:The Plumbing Foreman will oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of plumbing and drainage works on construction sites, ensuring that all plumbing systems are installed according to project specifications, safety standards, and building codes. The role requires hands-on expertise in the execution, installation, and maintenance of plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, and waste systems, as per the approved drawings and project requirements.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Supervision &amp; Leadership:</li><li>Lead and supervise a team of plumbers and assistants in the installation and maintenance of plumbing systems (water, sewage, drainage, etc.) on-site.</li><li>Ensure work is completed on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards.</li><li>Assign tasks to plumbing team members and ensure work is carried out efficiently.</li><li>Conduct daily site inspections to monitor the quality of work and ensure compliance with the project specifications.</li><li>Execution of Plumbing Works:</li><li>Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of all plumbing and drainage systems, including piping, fixtures, water heaters, pumps, and sewer systems.</li><li>Ensure that plumbing installations are done according to the approved drawings, engineering specifications, and relevant codes of practice.</li><li>Coordinate with other construction disciplines (electrical, civil, HVAC) to ensure proper integration of systems and avoid conflicts in design or installation.</li><li>Technical Guidance:</li><li>Provide technical guidance and problem-solving support to plumbing team members during installation and troubleshooting.</li><li>Interpret and explain construction drawings, specifications, and plumbing codes to the team.</li><li>Assist in resolving any issues related to plumbing design, material selection, or installation methods.</li><li>Quality Control &amp; Compliance:</li><li>Ensure all plumbing installations meet the required quality standards, ensuring compliance with local plumbing codes, regulations, and safety standards.</li><li>Perform regular quality checks and inspections of the plumbing work, addressing any defects or discrepancies promptly.</li><li>Prepare and submit progress reports on the status of plumbing work to the site manager or project manager.</li><li>Health &amp; Safety Management:</li><li>Promote a culture of safety on the job site, ensuring that all plumbing work adheres to the company&rsquo;s health and safety policies.</li><li>Ensure all plumbing activities are carried out in accordance with safety protocols, and provide proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) to team members.</li><li>Conduct regular safety meetings and toolbox talks with the plumbing team.</li><li>Materials Management:</li><li>Oversee the proper storage, handling, and usage of plumbing materials and equipment.</li><li>Ensure that required materials and tools are available for the team and that inventory is properly maintained.</li><li>Work with procurement to ensure timely delivery of plumbing materials to the site.</li><li>Coordination &amp; Reporting:</li><li>Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth execution of plumbing works.</li><li>Assist in reviewing and understanding plumbing plans and drawings, providing feedback to the design team when necessary.</li><li>Report on daily progress, challenges, and any delays to the project manager or site supervisor.</li></ul>Key Requirements:<ul><li>Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of hands-on experience in plumbing and drainage works, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory role.</li><li>Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; formal training in plumbing or related fields (e.g., apprenticeship, vocational courses) preferred.</li><li>Technical Skills:</li><li>Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, and methods (e.g., PVC, copper, cast iron, etc.).</li><li>Experience with construction drawings, plumbing codes, and standards.</li><li>Proficient in plumbing installation, repair, and troubleshooting techniques.</li><li>Leadership Skills: Ability to lead a team, delegate tasks, and maintain discipline on-site.</li><li>Communication: Strong communication skills to liaise with clients, subcontractors, and team members.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: AED3,500.00 - AED4,500.00 per monthExperience:<ul><li>Construction: 5 years (Required)</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: AED5,000.00 per monthWork Location: In person
