A Receiving Clerk will manage the goods and deliveries moving in and out of the hotel and will ensure that these deliveries reach the appropriate destinations and logged according to the company's purchasing and procurement standards. 
 
What will I be doing? 
As Receiving Clerk, you will accept and control all incoming deliveries, maintaining an optimal goods inventory, correct storage and issue of goods. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
<ul><li>Acceptance and close control of all incoming goods in respect of volume and quantity</li>
<li>Enter all internal goods movements into the computer system daily</li>
<li>Carry out monthly inventories with Controlling</li>
<li>Responsible for acceptance and rough checks on all items entering the hotel by volume and quality</li>
<li>Issue immediate complaints</li>
<li>Ensure that all articles reach their place of destination immediately</li>
<li>Ensure orderly acceptance and passing on of events material and its return from the ramp</li>
<li>Loan and empties return from the warehouse carried out independently</li>
<li>Ensure tidiness and cleanliness in area of responsibility</li>

The role aims to be recognized as a trusted finance team member. This role supports the finance lead in all training and development activities to develop best-in-class finance professionals and assists in developing their finance team. This role supports a robust control and compliance environment and contributes to implement EMEA Operations Finance innovations and projects. 
 
What will I be doing?
The Receiving Clerk is responsible for all activities related to the Hotel&rsquo;s goods receiving process and recording of goods received in close co-operation with the Accounts Payable / OTP (Order to Procure department). Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
<ul><li>Oversees and records all activities related to accurate receivable procedures in terms of quantitive and quality controls, order approval documents and passing on of received goods to the relevant inhouse departments.</li>
<li>The Receiving Clerk is also ensuring that any goods, material and equipment leaving the hotel is recorded, accounted for and internally approved.</li>
<li>Assists in any other way deemed necessary for the efficient overall operation of the Accounts Payable / OTP (Order to Procure department) in full compliance with the policy, regulatory and contractual framework.</li>
<li>Business partner with all hotel finance team members and all departments.</li>
<li>Participate in all relevant Finance training and development programs. In case of a joint job role any responsibility relevant joint job descriptions will apply in accordance with Hilton&rsquo;s job segregation policies.</li>

Your day-to-day:
<ul>
<li>Ensures all merchandise are stored under optimal conditions and are ready for issuing</li>
<li>Ensures that all storage areas are clean and maintains high hygienic standards</li>
<li>Verifies quantities of arriving materials destined for store room, signs for same on receiving stamp</li>
<li>Maintains merchandises bin labels identifying lack item&rsquo;s code, number, name, issue unit and minimum and maximum stock levels</li>
<li>Ensures that all issues from stores are made against properly completed, ruled off/approved store room requisitions, all code numbers are clearly indicated next to each item being issued, signs the &ldquo;issued by&rdquo; portion of the requisition</li>
<li>Records consecutive numbers on all store room requisitions before giving the copy of the requisitions to the person accepting the goods, logs each requisition in the store room logbook and forwards completed requisition to the Inventory Clerk</li>
<li>Verifies the list of items at re-order point against physical quantities before submitting the list to the Head Storeman</li>
<li>Ensures that store room temperatures including the freezer and the refrigerator are in the line with IHG Standards</li>
<li>Interacts and cooperates with all sub section in the storeroom, merchandise receiver, merchandise deliverer and with receiving clerk</li>
<li>Ensures that merchandises are issued by FIFO system that the beverage decal is attached on the liquor bottles issued and that each Hard liquor is issued against an empty bottle</li>
<li>Makes oneself available during physical inventories taken by the Finance Department</li>
<li>Performs other duties as required</li>
