 The Center for Brain and Health (CBH) at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) seeks to recruit a Junior Research Scientist to support innovative clinical and translational research on brain health and disease in diverse populations within the UAE and wider MENA region.
 
 
 The successful applicant will play a central role in the day-to-day execution of human-subjects research studies, working within a multidisciplinary team of faculty investigators, research assistants, clinicians, and students. The position involves coordinating clinical and observational research protocols that integrate advanced neuroimaging, neuromonitoring, and behavioural methods, with a strong emphasis on regulatory compliance, participant safety, and high-quality data collection.
 
 
 Key responsibilities include coordinating participant recruitment and workflow (pre-screening, informed consent, scheduling, and follow-up), maintaining regulatory and ethics documentation, liaising with clinical partners and imaging facilities, and overseeing clinical aspects of MRI, EEG, and MEG sessions. The Junior Research Scientist / Clinical Coordinator will also contribute to the development of standard operating procedures, support training of research assistants and students, track study progress and recruitment metrics, and assist with grant applications, ethics submissions, and progress reporting. The role works closely with dedicated neuroimaging and research assistants who focus on technical data acquisition, imaging pipelines, and analysis, while the Clinical Coordinator leads clinical governance and participant-facing workflows.
 
 
 Applicants must hold a Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in psychology, neuroscience, biomedical sciences, nursing, or a related field; a Master&rsquo;s degree or clinical qualification (e.g., nursing, allied health, clinical psychology) is strongly preferred. Candidates should have 2&ndash;3 years of experience coordinating human-subjects research or clinical trials, ideally in neurology, psychiatry, or related areas, and demonstrated familiarity with ethical and regulatory requirements for human research.  The Shubeita laboratory in the program of Physics, New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a Post-Doctoral Associate or Associate Research Scientist to work on unravelling principles that drive cellular organization.
 
 
 The successful applicant will lead research projects to study the interplay between active cytoskeletal transport, cytoskeletal organization, and the physical driving forces of macromolecular crowding. Research will take place within a multidisciplinary group of Post-doctoral and Pre-doctoral researchers trained in physics, biology, and chemistry with whom the successful candidate will collaborate closely.
 
 
 Applicants must have a PhD in physics or biological physics. Excellent analytical skills are required and prior experience in soft matter or biological physics research is preferable.  Main Duties And Responsibilities
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Consolidate and analyze financial statements, forecast future revenues and expenditures and create financial models for decision support
 </li>
 <li>
 Support the management team in developing financial plans and determine the best use of resources to achieve business objectives/business case
 </li>
 <li>
 Identify trends, keep track of financial performance and provide recommendations for optimization based on set financial plans
 </li>
 <li>
 Perform variance studies and comparative performance and develop forecast models accordingly
 </li>
 <li>
 Generate periodic reports and work closely with the accounting/finance teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
 </li>
 <li>
 Develop, update and drive process and policy improvements optimizing workflows and improving financial growth
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance
 </li>
 <li>
 Understand the various departments and divisions and provide ideas to grow and improve the business
 </li>
 <li>
 Consult with the management team to guide strategic decision making and provide support to projects as and when needed
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain knowledge and keep abreast of new financial regulations or policies
 </li>
 <li>
 Oversee the daily activities of the Financial Analyst(s) and mentor as needed

 Position Requirements
 
 
 
 
 Education
 
 
 
 Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Accounting or Finance
 
 
 
 Experience
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Minimum 4&ndash;5 years of experience as a Financial Analyst, Data Analyst, or in a similar data-driven role.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and deliver actionable business insights.
 </li>
 <li>
 Highly data-driven profile with excellent logical thinking, problem-solving, and reporting capabilities.
 </li>
 <li>
 Preferably from the IT industry or a technology-driven environment.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience analyzing data across multiple regions, product portfolios, and business units.
 </li>
 <li>
 Proven ability to analyze key business performance metrics, including sales performance, profitability, trends, KPIs, forecasting, and variance analysis.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience leveraging AI-powered analytics and reporting tools to enhance data analysis and business decision-making.
 </li>
 <li>
 Advanced proficiency in AI tools for Excel, data analysis, chart and dashboard creation, reporting, and data interpretation is mandatory.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to utilize AI tools to improve productivity, automate reporting processes, and generate meaningful business insights.
 </li>
 <li>
 Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables, Power Query, advanced formulas, and data visualization.
