Overview:UNII consultant, a leading name in the construction and design sector in Qatar, is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our engineering department. This role is essential for designing, developing, and enhancing electrical systems and components in our projects. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in electrical engineering principles and a track record of innovation in construction-related electrical solutions.Key Responsibilities:Design and Development:&middot; Design and develop electrical systems for construction projects, including power distribution, low current systems (such as security, CCTV, fire alarms, and data networks), lighting, and other electrical services.&middot; Utilize CAD software for designing electrical components and systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications and regulatory standards.Project Coordination:&middot; Collaborate with project teams, including architects, civil engineers, and mechanical engineers, to integrate electrical systems into overall project designs.Analysis and Problem-Solving:&middot; Perform detailed calculations to establish standards and specifications for electrical systems.&middot; Identify and troubleshoot design issues, providing innovative solutions to ensure project objectives are met.Quality Assurance and Compliance:&middot; Ensure all electrical engineering projects comply with applicable codes, standards, and best practices, including Qatar's regulations such as those from KAHRAMAA.&middot; Oversee the installation and commissioning of electrical systems, conducting quality assurance checks to ensure operational efficiency.Documentation and Reporting:&middot; Prepare and maintain project documentation, including design files, calculations, and reports.&middot; Provide regular updates to project managers and stakeholders on the status of electrical engineering activities.Qualifications:&middot; Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (7 to 10 years experience).&middot; Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer in the construction or design industry, with a focus on power distribution, low current systems, and familiarity with Qatar's electrical regulations.&middot; Strong proficiency in CAD, REVIT software and engineering design tools.&middot; Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.&middot; Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.&middot; Familiarity with construction industry standards, codes, and safety practices.&middot; UPDA Certificate.&middot; ASHGHAL/KAHRAMAA projects experience (Preferred).&middot; Airport projects experience is a plus.Job Type: Full-time

Sr. Electrical Engineer

We are urgently looking for a highly qualified and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer with a strong background in building projects and mandatory BIM capabilities. The successful candidate will be instrumental in the design, review, and supervision of electrical systems for large-scale building projects, ensuring compliance with PWA's Employer's Information Requirements (EIR) and local regulations. This is a critical role requiring a demonstrated history of working within a consultancy environment and possessing a valid UPDA Grade A certification.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Lead and manage all aspects of electrical engineering design, analysis, and specifications for complex building projects.</li><li>Ensure all designs comply with relevant Qatari and international codes, standards, and regulations, specifically Public Works Authority (PWA) requirements.</li><li>Develop, implement, and manage BIM models for electrical systems, ensuring strict adherence to PWA's Employer's Information Requirements (EIR) and project-specific BIM execution plans.</li><li>Conduct technical reviews of drawings, specifications, calculations, and vendor submissions to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance.</li><li>Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, civil, mechanical, and structural engineers, clients, and contractors.</li><li>Provide expert technical guidance and support during all project phases from conceptual design through construction and commissioning.</li><li>Prepare detailed technical reports, project documentation, and presentations.</li><li>Liaise directly with clients, particularly PWA representatives, for technical approvals and coordination.</li><li>Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior electrical engineers and CAD/BIM technicians.</li><li>Participate in site visits, inspections, and meetings as required to monitor progress and resolve technical issues.</li></ul>Required Qualifications:<ul><li>Education: Bachelor's Degree (B.Sc.) in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.</li><li>Experience: Minimum of 15 years of progressive professional experience in electrical engineering, with a significant portion gained within a consultancy environment on building projects.</li><li>Licensure: Valid UPDA (Urban Planning and Development Authority) Grade A certification in Qatar is mandatory.</li><li>BIM Capability: Mandatory and proven proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) software and workflows for electrical systems.</li><li>PWA Expertise: Demonstrated experience and strong understanding of PWA's Employer's Information Requirements (EIR) in the context of BIM.</li><li>Building Project Experience: Extensive experience in the design and delivery of electrical systems for large-scale building projects (e.g., commercial, residential, institutional, healthcare).</li><li>Technical Skills: Expert knowledge of electrical codes, standards (e.g., NFPA, IEC, BS, QCS), power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, low current systems, and associated calculations.</li><li>Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>Previous project approval or successful engagement with the Public Works Authority (PWA) on prior projects in Qatar.</li><li>Immediate availability to commence within two weeks.</li></ul>What We Offer:<ul><li>A challenging and rewarding contract opportunity for 24 months, with potential for extension.</li><li>The chance to work on high-profile building projects in Doha.</li><li>A dynamic and collaborative work environment.</li></ul>Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Contract Contract length: 24 monthsEducation:<ul><li>Bachelor's (Preferred)</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>consultancy: 10 years (Preferred)</li><li>Hotels &amp; High-rise buildings: 10 years (Preferred)</li><li>Architect: 10 years (Preferred)</li></ul>
