Seasonal Graphic Designer & Production Associate

To apply, please follow instructions at the bottom. I will not read resumes that do not follow the requirements of the application process.

We are seeking an experienced Graphic Designer with a strong background in both event stationery and commercial print design to join a small, collaborative creative team.

This is a seasonal part-time role running mid-May through October, with potential to grow over time. It is ideal for someone who enjoys variety: thoughtful design work, direct client interaction, hands-on print production, and the full cycle of getting a finished product out the door.

What You'll Do

  • Design custom event stationery, including invitations, day-of pieces, and signage
  • Create commercial print materials such as branding assets and marketing collateral
  • Work directly with clients — from intake and proofing to order updates and follow-through — across email, phone, and in person
  • Prepare accurate, production-ready files for professional printing
  • Participate in print production, including setup, output, and finishing
  • Pack and ship finished orders accurately and on time, with care for presentation and quality
  • Assist with general studio and production tasks as part of a hands-on team

What We're Looking For

  • Demonstrated experience in both event/wedding stationery and commercial graphic design
  • Strong typography, layout, and color sensibility
  • Comfort working directly with clients and navigating feedback professionally
  • Hands-on print production experience (this is not a design-only role)
  • Familiarity with print workflows and equipment
  • Experience with order fulfillment, packing, and shipping — or genuine willingness to own it
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and dependable
  • Calm, practical, and solutions-focused under pressure

Print & Equipment Experience

Candidates should be comfortable working with professional print equipment and production workflows. Experience may include:

  • Digital presses (e.g., Xerox, Canon, Konica, etc.)
  • Offset or letterpress printing
  • Foil stamping, embossing, and other specialty finishing
  • Cutters, creasers, folders, die cutters, and related finishing equipment

Applicants should list the printers and equipment they've worked with and clarify their level of involvement (design-only vs. hands-on operation).

The Right Mindset

  • You value teamwork over titles
  • You understand the creative highs and operational realities of small businesses
  • You're willing to pitch in where needed — whether that's solving a design challenge, responding to a client email, packing an order, or taking out the trash and recycling
  • You are not ego-driven and believe good work is a shared effort
  • You take pride in seeing projects through from concept to finished piece — and out the door

To Apply

Please submit a resume and portfolio highlighting relevant stationery and commercial work. Include a brief summary of the print equipment and production processes you've worked with.

Pay: $25.00 - $31.00 per hour

Application Question(s):

  • Are you available to work on Thursdays and Fridays?
  • You'd be preparing PDF proofs to send directly to clients. Tell me about your experience creating client-facing files — how do you make sure what they see matches what gets produced?
