· Produces and proofreads typewritten material, such as letters, reports and forms, from written and verbal communication.
· Handles, sorts and distributes incoming and outgoing mail.
· Assists managers with administrative duties as assigned.
· Organizes and maintains a current and functional filing system.
· Maintains an organized workstation.
· Orders, catalogs and maintains inventory on resource materials and office supplies.
· Takes minutes at meetings and disseminates as appropriate.
· May assist managers with maintaining schedules.
· May enter data on a daily basis and assist with other reporting requirements.
· May assist in substitute staff scheduling.
· May assist in maintaining records.
· Functions as facility receptionist by handling incoming and outgoing calls, greeting visitors, ascertaining nature of business and referring to appropriate persons.
· May monitor and process billing and financial records.
· Schedules appointments and meetings and provides general information on department matters when requested.
· Maintains daily schedules on facility personnel as assigned.
· May monitor radios and other communications devices as assigned.
· Develops and maintains a secretarial substitute folder.
· May facilitate the processing and tracking of purchase requisitions.
· May be required to orient individuals assigned to the department.
· Monitors activities to ensure compliance with all applicable rules, regulations, laws, policies, procedures, and collective bargaining agreements.

Qualifications, Education & Experience Requirements
· High school diploma or GED.
· One (1) year secretarial experience including computer experience with Microsoft Word and Excel software.
· Requires reliable transportation.
· Requires passing a word-processing proficiency skills test with a minimum of 50 words per minute.
· Requires passing basic Electronic Mail, Microsoft Excel and Word proficiency tests.
