Security Account Manager

About the Role:

We are currently looking for a full time Security Account Manager to manage a government contract account. This position will oversee and manage approximately 20 - 30 security officers throughout the Tidewater area. This position will play a critical role in ensuring operational excellence, client satisfaction, contract compliance, and workforce performance. The main responsibilities of this position include:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create Post Orders for new and existing client sites
  • Ensure compliance with all elements of client contracts, including training, staffing, and other contractual requirements
  • Develop policies, procedures, workflows, and processes to streamline operations and to maximize management productivity
  • Implement quality control programs to remedy client concerns and to prevent common problems with guard staff performance
  • Interview and hire security officers to ensure proper staffing across all client accounts
  • Train new supervisors and acclimate them to their management duties. Ensure all supervisors are capable of responsibly performing the duties their role requires, and that they are familiar with all contractual elements of the client contract(s) they are assigned to
  • Maintain less than 10% in overtime in weekly staffing plans
  • Ensure all officers meet and maintain required training credentials by coordinating with the Training Director and the Compliance Manager so that officers meet all training requirements as dictated by client contracts
  • Meet regularly with client stakeholders to ensure continuous client satisfaction and to address and correct performance deficiencies in security personnel
  • Coordinate with Human Resources to discipline subordinate guards when company policies are violated
  • Conduct routine and random inspections of company and client equipment such as patrol vehicles and other client or company property
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of managerial experience in security operations, with proven leadership over multiple accounts
  • Strong background managing high-volume hourly operations (1,100+ hours/week preferred)
  • Excellent interpersonal and client relations skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams and drive measurable outcomes
  • Proficiency in workforce planning, performance metrics, and compliance oversight
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout assigned region
