Security Dispatch

Summary:
The Security Dispatch at Rosen Hotels & Resorts assumes the role of "Communications Coordinator" in all events, including emergencies. They receive complaints and requests for assistance from guests, employees, or outside agencies via radio and telephone and assign or advise Security personnel as needed. The Security Dispatch monitors closed-circuit television (CCTV) and telex radio communication channels to provide asset protection, prevent illegal activities, and ensure the safety of guests and associates.

Responsibilities:

  • Assume the role of "Communications Coordinator" during all events, including emergencies.
  • Receive complaints and requests for assistance from guests, employees, or outside agencies via radio and telephone.
  • Assign or advise Security personnel as needed based on the nature of the request or situation.
  • Monitor closed-circuit television (CCTV) and telex radio communication channels to ensure security and safety.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs of communication transmissions.
  • Provide outstanding guest service by protecting hotel guests, employees, and property while maintaining a high level of visibility.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies and incidents following appropriate protocols.
  • Follow Company Standards for guest service and maintain a positive and professional attitude with guests and team members.
  • Must have the ability to drive a company-assigned golf cart or other company-assigned vehicle.
  • Adhere to the drug-free and tobacco/nicotine-free policies of the company.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Experience/Qualifications:

  • Minimum 6 months of Security experience required.
  • Must have a Florida State driver's license in current good standing.
  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift- up to 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. infrequently.
  • Must be able to legally work in the USA.

Education and Certification(s)/License(s):

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
