Location: Bella Vista, New Haven, CT
Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Schedule: All 3 shifts - 7:00am-3:00pm, 3:00pm-11:00pm, 11:00pm-7:00am

The Carabetta Companies is seeking professional and dependable Security Guards to join our team at Bella Vista Senior Living Community in New Haven, CT. This position plays an important role in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff within one of the largest residential senior living communities in the region.This position requires frequent interaction with residents and visitors in a senior living community. Candidates should demonstrate patience, professionalism, and a service-oriented attitude.The ideal candidate is dependable, observant, and committed to providing excellent service while maintaining strong safety and security standards.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Conduct regular patrols of residential buildings, parking areas, and surrounding grounds

• Monitor entrances, exits, and visitor activity to ensure authorized access

• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and resident assistance calls

• Observe and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, or policy violations

• Provide assistance and directions to residents, visitors, and staff when needed

• Maintain accurate daily activity logs and incident reports

• Assist with emergency response procedures when required

• Support management in maintaining a secure and respectful community environment

Qualifications

• Active Connecticut Guard Card (Required)

• High school diploma or GED

• Strong observation and communication skills

• Ability to remain calm and professional during emergencies

• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods while conducting patrols

• Must be dependable, punctual, and professional in appearance

• Previous security experience

• Experience working in residential communities, healthcare, or senior living environments

• CPR/First Aid certification preferred
