- Patrols buildings and grounds of hospital to prevent fires, theft and vandalism.
- Inspect doors, locks and windows to determine level of security.
- Escort staff, patients, visitors to their parked cars or public transportation when request.
- Conduct thorough investigation of incidents reported by hospital personnel, patients and visitors.
- Writes incident reports and documents investigatory steps and results.
- Responds to emergency calls for assistance to control disorderly conduct or combative patients, visitors or staff.
- Patrol parking areas to detect any irregularities.
- Document the opening of any door or area in or around the hospital.
- Inspects outgoing parcels as necessary to prevent theft of hospital property.
- Report all safety and fire hazards observed on routine patrols and inspections.
- Performs all other duties as required.
Position Requirements:
- This position requires a minimum formal education of High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 3 years job-related experience.
- Desired (not required) criteria include: 3 years experience law enforcement/security.
- License, NYS Drivers License, NYS Security Guard License, Heart Saver First Aid CPR and CPI Certification.
- Additional requirements Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Certification.
Hourly Rate: $28.74
