Job Description

As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol Rounds in Las Vegas, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, professional communication. This post requires an armed guard card and/or license. You will build trust through helpful customer service while working as part of a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and committed to always acting with integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government facility location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site leadership and local public service partners as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Control access by verifying identification and/or credentials, screening visitors and deliveries per site procedures, and directing employees and visitors to appropriate service areas.
• Complete timely reports and logs for patrol activity, incidents, and observed hazards, and communicate updates through radio and/or phone in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 1+ years' armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card/license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
