Job Description

As a Security Officer Concierge Services Desk in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Front Desk Officer at a prestigious financial institution, where you will welcome guests, manage access control and badges, and support a professional, people-first environment. In this visible role, you will help monitor lobby activity, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver outstanding service through clear communication, teamwork, reliability, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a front desk location within a financial institution.
• Monitor lobby and reception activity, assist with visitor check-in and credential verification, and help to deter unauthorized access through attentive observation and adherence to site protocols.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts, building personnel, and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Answer questions, provide directions, and support front desk operations by maintaining accurate visitor logs, reporting documentation, and other required records related to site access and activity.
• Support a professional lobby presence by observing entry points, reporting suspicious behavior or policy concerns, and following Allied Universal standards and client-directed procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
