Job Description


As a Security Officer - Driver Patrol Ambassador in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a commercial real estate location. You will complete routine foot and vehicle patrols, monitor access points, and document security-related activity while providing standout customer service and clear communication to tenants, visitors, and staff. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance hazards and/or access issues.
  • Monitor access points and report unauthorized entry attempts, suspicious behavior, and/or policy violations in accordance with post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting assistance from local emergency services and/or site management when needed.
  • Document patrol activity, incidents, and/or tenant requests in written reports and communicate relevant information to supervisors and/or property management.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
