Hana Industries is recruiting a Project Manager (PM) managing our security officer workforce for the Mid Atlantic contract. Although stationed in Norfolk, VA. frequent travel along the East Coast Naval locations is required.


Hana Industries is dedicated to providing quality security services to our Customers. Over the past years, collectively, we have built an excellent reputation within the Department of Defense and the Commercial Industry by providing professional armed, unarmed security services, commercial vehicle inspectors, throughout the country.


Our Project Manager position will be responsible for a multi-million dollar security contract. He/she reports directly to the COO and is responsible for the overall management and coordination of requirements specific to the contract's multi-State and multi-Company locations.


This includes, but is not limited to ensuring all aspects of the installations are compliant to and meets contract and project requirements while working within financial and operational parameters and ensuring satisfactory performance, safety, client satisfaction, and employee retention. The PM also acts as the installation’s central point of contact and promotes a positive working relationship with the Government and Union.


Duties include ensuring the following:


  • Acts as the primary Company liaison for the assigned installation sites; attends Customer meetings; responds to Customer inquiries and requests
  • Reports all information to COO and obtains approval prior to implementing requests by the Customer
  • Responsible for working with line management staff to ensure the Company is providing the appropriate resources, training, licenses etc. necessary to fulfill their responsibilities
  • Enforces policies and procedures as stated in the Company Employee Handbook, Security Manual, Training Resources, Safety and QC Manuals
  • Regularly attends guard mount to ensure proper staffing levels are achieved, employees meet uniform requirements, and ensures employees are aware of any special circumstances or instructions
  • Regularly visits posts to ensure equipment is accounted for and is functioning properly; observes employee performance, immediately resolves substandard performance by an employee, and/ or immediately recognizes employees for excellent performance
  • Assists in Schedules and filling in call-offs
  • Responds to, investigates, and completes applicable reports for all emergencies, safety hazards, injuries, employee complaints, Customer complaints
  • Promotes a fair and positive work environment to increase employee retention by enforcing employee recognition programs, ensures employees have proper equipment and training, provides open communication with employees
  • Completes and reviews time sheets prior to submitting them for payroll input
  • Ensures that all start and end times, meal and break periods are accurately documented on timesheets and appropriate documentation is completed for any variances
  • Leads or assists with auditing training and personnel records to ensure compliance to contract requirements
  • Provides regular training on work related skills: management, employee relations, Customer communication, recognition, time management, etc.

Requirements:


Requirements

  • Minimum of an BA degree in Law Enforcement Administration or Industrial Security Management. Business Management or Project Management or equivalent experience in unarmed/armed security services (police, military etc)
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant supervisory management experience in security or law enforcement administration and operations in either the military service (Navy exp. preferred) or civilian security industry
  • Must have experience managing multi-site locations (multi-state preferred)
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years experience in training, planning and evaluating personnel and work quality
  • Must have experience partnering with union organizations
  • Strong leadership and communication skills (verbal and written), ability to multi-task and work under pressure, ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint
  • Must be able to travel to the various work locations.
  • Valid driver's license
  • Must have an Active Secret Clearance and be able to obtain and maintain the required Top Secret Security Clearance.
