In this role you will blend hands-on engineering with architecture leadership, offering the opportunity to shape security design while collaborating with engineering, infrastructure, application, and DevOps teams.

For this role, we are looking for a motivated and technically proficient Security technical program lead with 5–8 years of experience in cybersecurity to help design and implement secure solutions across our applications and platforms.

This position is ideal for a security professional ready to take the next step into a tactical and strategic leadership-track architecture role with ownership and influence over technical direction.

To thrive in this role, you'll need to be a cloud-native with a solid understanding of technologies, including APIs, distributed systems design, operational scaling and availability, and application integrations. WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Here's what you can expect on a typical day:

  • You'll start each day with a scrum, working in a team to understand responsibilities, identify issues, and communicate coding priorities while choosing user stories to complete. You must know Agile well.
  • You will present and explain the findings to the leadership. There is no typical day as you partner and work with people across the development organization to turn ideas into reality.
  • You will Contribute to the design and development of secure architectures for cloud, on-prem, and hybrid environments.
  • Support the creation and enforcement of security standards, guidelines, and best practices
  • Participate in security design reviews, threat modeling, and technical risk assessments
  • Work closely with developers, engineers, and operations to embed security into systems and software
  • Research and evaluate security tools, technologies, and processes for improved protection and efficiency
  • Help drive initiatives around cloud security, zero trust, identity management, and data protection
  • Collaborate on security incident response and contribute to root cause analysis and recommendations
  • Assist with compliance and audit readiness efforts by ensuring architectural alignment with industry standards (e.g., NIST, CIS, ISO)
  • Work closely with the ADP security organization to ensure compliance with security policies and standards.
  • Present security posture findings and remediation paths to the leaders, teams, and individuals to improve security posture.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:

  • You'll have a Bachelor's degree OR equivalent.
  • 5–8 years of experience in cybersecurity, including at least 5 years focused on security design or architecture
  • Proficiency in designing secure cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Experience with key security domains such as identity and access management (IAM), data protection, and network security
  • Familiarity with tools like firewalls, endpoint protection, SIEMs, and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • Familiarity with AI/ML/GenAI security practices.
  • Solid understanding of secure coding principles, DevSecOps, and system hardening
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate security concepts to both technical and non-technical teams

  • Industry certifications such as CISSP, AWS Security Specialty, CCSP, or GIAC
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, container security, and CI/CD pipeline security
  • Exposure to frameworks and standards like NIST 800-53, CIS Benchmarks, or ISO 27001

Needs to have excellent communication skills, be open for feedback, and should be collaborative across cross functional teams both inside and outside the org.

Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills, and relevant experience. Some positions may include additional compensation in the form of bonus, equity or commissions. We offer the following benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Matched Retirement Savings, Wellness Program, Short-and Long-Term Disability, Charitable Contribution Match, Holidays, Personal Days & Vacation, Paid Volunteer Time Off, and more. The compensation for this role is USD $79,800.00 - USD $213,930.00 / Year*

  • Actual compensation will not be less than the applicable minimum wage or minimum exempt salary requirement under federal, state and local laws.
