Senior Academic Counselor

Key Responsibilities

• Personalized Guidance: Provide individual academic advising to students, helping them set and achieve educational and career goals.
• Course and Program Selection: Advise students on choosing appropriate courses, academic programs, and extracurricular activities based on their interests and aptitudes.
• Academic Progress Monitoring: Track student academic progress, identify potential challenges, and provide interventions or support to ensure success.
• Career Exploration: Help students explore and understand different educational programs and career opportunities, offering information and resources for career planning.
• Student Support: Offer support and guidance to students facing academic or personal challenges, referring them to other support services as needed.
• Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, faculty, parents, and other school staff to support students' holistic development.
• Workshops and Seminars: Organize and conduct workshops on topics like study skills, academic success strategies, and career readiness.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential records of student interactions, progress, and academic plans.
