Senior Account Manager

Job Summary

The Senior Account Manager will play a central role in managing a high-profile government account, serving as a key coordinator across multiple workstreams, stakeholders, and communication priorities. This role requires a strategic communications professional who can oversee the delivery of integrated, bilingual (Arabic and English) communications programs, while ensuring alignment across internal teams, client stakeholders, and external partners.
The successful candidate will sit at the heart of account delivery—driving strategic advisory, reputation management, and end-to-end communications execution across multiple government pillars—while maintaining strong oversight of reporting, timelines, and deliverables.

Job Responsibilities

Account & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as a day-to-day lead on the account, managing client relationships and acting as a trusted advisor

  • Coordinate closely with the client’s internal communications teams, leadership, and external stakeholders

  • Act as the central point of coordination across multiple workstreams, teams, and verticals

  • Collaborate with internal APCO teams (media relations, content, translation, monitoring)

Strategic Communications & Advisory

  • Support the development and execution of integrated communications strategies

  • Provide strategic advisory on policy, AI, media landscape, and narrative positioning

  • Contribute to positioning Abu Dhabi as a global leader in AI-driven government

  • Content Development & Messaging

  • Oversee development of bilingual content including press releases, op-eds, and messaging frameworks

  • Ensure consistency of messaging across stakeholders

  • Media Relations & External Engagement

  • Support execution of media engagement strategies across markets

  • Coordinate press events, briefings, and roundtables

  • Identify speaking opportunities and stakeholder engagements

Project Management & Reporting

  • Oversee communications plans across government programs

  • Manage timelines, deliverables, and reporting cycles

  • Ensure accurate reporting on performance and outcomes

Reputation & Crisis

  • Support reputation management initiatives

  • Contribute to crisis communications readiness

  • Oversee media monitoring and analysis

  • Team Coordination

  • Ensure quality control of deliverables

  • Support junior team members and foster collaboration

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in communications, public affairs, or client servicing

  • Experience managing complex projects, ideally within government environments

  • Strong understanding of media relations and communications strategy

  • Bilingual proficiency in Arabic and English

  • Strong stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines

  • Excellent writing, presentation, and analytical skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
