We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join a leading department store in Bahrain. The ideal candidate will have experience in financial management and will play a key role in overseeing accounting operations, preparing financial reports, and supporting strategic decision-making. This role is essential to ensuring financial integrity, operational efficiency, and strong fiscal governance across the business.
Main Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and statements.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance against budgets and forecasts.
- Support in the preparation and management of annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
- Manage financial audits and coordinate with external auditors.
- Review and improve internal financial controls and processes.
- Liaise with department heads to align financial planning with operational needs.
- Provide accurate and timely financial insights and recommendations to management.
- Assist in inventory valuation and cost control analysis.
- Ensure timely reconciliation of accounts and reporting accuracy.
Requirements:- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within retail or FMCG sectors.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets.
- Experience with ERP/accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
