Accountant Job Description

Location: Electronic City Phase 1, Bengaluru, India

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Accountant will have responsibility to manage all the accounting and report generation requirements of the company and will report to the head of finance. Should be able to handle all of the below functions:

Accounting:

· Maintain book of accounts.

· Monthly closing

· Banking responsibilities (Make payments, forwarding paperwork to bank, getting Fx rates etc..)

· MIS reporting

. Basic understanding of Forex transactions and its accounting

· Run monthly payroll.

· Pay monthly TDS, Professional tax, preparation of GST returns, filing etc..

· Co-ordinate with Consultants for statutory matters

· Must be an expert at Tally-ERP and know all the features of tally including Inventory, payroll, Cost center concepts and Tax accounting

· Year-end account finalization and audit co-ordination

Purchasing:

· Issue POs thru Tally

· Cross verify PO (check current vs past prices)

· Stock n capex ID and inventory check

· Follow up with Suppliers in case of issues with bills/payments

· E-way bill generation

· Custom Clearances. Customs reporting/handling

Sales:

· Issue invoices

· Printing, shipping and accounting for retail sales (online E-commerce sales)

· E-way bill generation

· Receivable analysis and follow-up on collections

Minimum Requirements

· Thorough accounting knowledge and understanding of accounting principles.

· Should have good working experience of Tally (min 2 years)

. Should be proficient in English language

· Should have minimum 5 years of accounting experience with a professional company or a CA firm.

· Competent with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, Outlook.
