Senior Accountant

This is an onsite job and the interviews will be onsite as well.

We are seeking a Senior Accountant with at least 2 years of hands-on experience in the UK market, particularly in Self-Assessment Tax Returns. The ideal candidate will be skilled in preparing tax computations for sole traders, rental property owners, dividend earners, and higher-rate taxpayers. The role requires accuracy, analytical thinking, and the ability to manage multiple client portfolios efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and file UK Self-Assessment Tax Returns (SATR) for individuals, including:
• Sole traders
• Landlords with rental income
• Individuals with dividend income
• Higher-rate earners
• Prepare and review profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and tax computations.
• Manage client communication regarding tax queries, payment deadlines, and HMRC notices.
• Conduct tax planning and advisory for personal clients to ensure compliance and efficiency.
• Ensure all filings meet HMRC deadlines and adhere to UK tax laws.
• Support junior accountants with review and guidance on tax-related work.
• Maintain accurate client records using accounting and tax software (e.g., TaxCalc, IRIS, Xero, QuickBooks, etc.).

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of UK accounting or taxation experience.
• Strong knowledge of UK tax regulations and HMRC compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in UK accounting and tax software.
• Excellent communication skills for direct client interaction.
• Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple clients independently.
• Qualification: ACCA/Part-qualified ACCA/AAT or equivalent (preferred).
