Senior Accountant

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to lead the comprehensive financial management of our Oman Branch. This pivotal role entails full ownership of the accounting function, from ensuring rigorous compliance with Omani financial law to acting as the primary liaison for all Head Office reporting and audit activities. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and strategic professional capable of managing the branch's finances autonomously.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the full spectrum of financial accounting, including AR, AP, fixed assets, inter-company reconciliations and period-end closing.
• Oversee the preparation and timely submission of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Monitor and manage branch cash flow, conducting regular bank reconciliations and ensuring optimal liquidity.
• Handle all trade finance operations, including the processing of Letters of Credit (LCs) and bank guarantees.
• Collaborate closely with the Head Office and Branch Manager to align financial strategy with operational goals.
• Lead the annual audit process and ensure the accurate and timely filing of all corporate tax returns in compliance with Omani regulations.
• Utilize Microsoft Dynamics GP as the primary system for all accounting and financial management tasks.
• Provide financial analysis and insightful reports to support senior management decision-making.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Education Mandatory: Certified Public Accountant (CPA)/ CMA.

- Must be currently located in Oman with 7-10 years of relevant accounting experience within the Omani market.

- Demonstrated mastery of end-to-end accounting processes and financial reporting.

- In-depth knowledge of Omani tax laws and financial compliance standards.

- Proven ability to operate independently and manage branch finances with minimal oversight.

- Exceptional analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics GP is highly preferred.

Pay: RO800.000 - RO1,000.000 per month
