Senior Accountant

Busthan Al Khaleej (BAK) is a Qatar-based FMCG Distribution Company established in Doha, Qatar and is a subsidiary of Benchmark Foods Trading LLC, Dubai, UAE. Benchmark Foods is privately owned organization with business interests covering wide spectrum of industries related to food in the region, with a portfolio of interests and investments across the Sultanate of Oman, United Arab Emirates, and Qatar.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS/GAAP.
• Monitor and analyze accounting data, ensuring proper documentation and record keeping.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with audit requirements.
• Review and reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure accuracy of financial information.
• Prepare VAT filings and ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Supervise junior accountants and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
• Develop and implement efficient accounting procedures and internal controls.
• Coordinate with other departments for cost control and financial efficiency.

• Qualification: CA Inter / M com
• Experience: Minimum 5 to 6 years in the same capacity
• Gender: Male
• Industry: Trading specially in food industry
