Senior Accountant

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team in Alexandria. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions, accruals, and adjustments.
• Assist in external and internal audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure data integrity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial decision-making.
• Recommend and implement improvements in accounting procedures and internal controls.
• Utilize accounting software (SAGE is a plus) to perform day-to-day financial operations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
• CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in accounting or a similar role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software; experience with SAGE is a plus.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and local tax regulations.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Fluent in English
