SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Accountant who is currently available in Bahrain and can join immediately. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end accounting functions, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and supporting financial reporting and audits.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations, including GL, AP, AR, and bank reconciliations
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and Bahrain regulatory requirements
• Handle VAT accounting, filing, and compliance
• Coordinate with auditors and support internal and external audits
• Monitor cash flow, budgets, and financial forecasts
• Review journal entries and maintain accurate financial records
• Support management with financial analysis and reports

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience as an Accountant / Senior Accountant
• Must be currently residing in Bahrain
• Immediate joiners only (or short notice period)
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and VAT in Bahrain
• Experience with accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, Oracle, or similar)
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CMA) is an advantage
