SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

About the Role

We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Senior Accountant to manage and oversee accounting operations for our finance department. The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting skills, proven experience in full-cycle accounting, and is ready to join immediately in Bahrain. This role is key to ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and supporting strategic financial decisions.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Accountant, you will:

• Manage full-cycle accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP or IFRS standards.
• Perform bank, account, and intercompany reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor and manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Support internal and external audits, preparing schedules and necessary documentation.
• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, statutory requirements, and company accounting policies.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff.
• Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations to management.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
• 3–5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in Bahrain or GCC region.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS accounting standards and local regulatory requirements.
• Expertise in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, Tally, SAP, or ERP systems).
• Proven experience in preparing financial statements, reports, and audits.

• Strong communication skills in English
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure while maintaining accuracy.
• Leadership and mentoring experience within an accounting team.
