Senior Accountant

Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant with a strong background in the Retail Fashion Apparel or Textile industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial reporting, overseeing accounting operations, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations while supporting business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee daily accounting operations including GL, AP, AR, and bank reconciliations
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Handle inventory accounting, costing, and stock reconciliation (retail & warehouse)
• Monitor and control expense analysis and budget variance reporting
• Ensure accurate recording of sales revenue, discounts, and returns (retail environment preferred)
• Manage tax matters including sales tax, withholding tax, and income tax compliance
• Coordinate with auditors for internal and external audits
• Supervise junior accounting staff and review their work
• Ensure ERP entries are accurate and aligned with financial policies
• Prepare management reports and financial analysis for decision-making

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field
• ACCA / CA (Part Qualified) / CMA preferred
• 3–4 years of relevant experience, preferably in Retail Fashion Apparel or Textile sector
• Strong understanding of retail and accounting
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP / Dynamics / other ERP)
• Excellent command of MS Excel
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
