We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to manage the company’s financial records, ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations, and support management with financial reporting and analysis. The candidate should have strong knowledge of UAE VAT, corporate tax, budgeting, forecasting, auditing, and costing.
1. Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Maintain accurate general ledger and accounting records.
- Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded and documented.
2. Payroll & WPS Salary Processing
- Manage monthly payroll preparation and processing for employees.
- Ensure salary payments are processed through the Wage Protection System (WPS) as required by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation.
- Prepare and upload Salary Information File (SIF) for WPS salary transfer.
- Verify employee overtime, deductions, leave salary, and end-of-service calculations.
- Coordinate with banks or exchange houses for salary transfer through WPS.
3. UAE VAT Compliance
- Prepare and submit VAT returns in accordance with regulations of the Federal Tax Authority.
- Maintain proper VAT documentation, invoices, and reconciliation.
- Ensure compliance with VAT laws and filing deadlines.
4. Corporate Tax Compliance
- Assist in preparation of UAE Corporate Tax calculations and filings.
- Maintain proper documentation for tax reporting and compliance.
- Coordinate with tax consultants for corporate tax matters.
5. Budgeting & Forecasting
- Prepare annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor company performance against budgets.
- Provide financial analysis and variance reports to management.
6. Costing & Cost Control
- Analyze project costs, operational expenses, and material costs.
- Prepare cost reports and profitability analysis.
- Identify opportunities for cost control and financial efficiency.
7. Auditing
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits.
- Ensure financial records are accurate and compliant.
- Implement and maintain internal control procedures.
8. Cash Flow & Banking
- Monitor cash flow, bank transactions, and reconciliations.
- Manage company payments, receipts, and financial commitments.
9. Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure compliance with UAE accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain proper financial records, reports, and documentation.
10. Team Supervision
- Supervise and guide junior accountants and finance staff.
- Review accounting entries and financial reports before submission.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Experience with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations.
- Knowledge of payroll processing and WPS (SIF file preparation).
- Strong skills in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Experience in costing, cost control, and project accounting.
- Ability to handle audits and financial compliance.
- Proficiency in accounting software (ERP, Tally, QuickBooks, or similar).
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Good communication and team management skills.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 5–7 years of accounting experience, preferably in the UAE.
- Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, CMA, or CA is an advantage.
- Experience working with UAE tax regulations and financial audits is preferred.
- Preference for male candidates.
