Senior Accountant

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage core accounting functions, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support the finance team in maintaining strong financial controls. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting knowledge, hands-on experience with financial statements, and the ability to work in a fast-paced commercial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, invoices, and receipts
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities
• Coordinate with internal departments for financial data and clarifications
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
• Support audits and provide required financial reports when needed
• Perform routine administrative and accounting tasks as assigned
• Assist with daily accounting operations, including data entry and record maintenance
• Support senior accountants in financial analysis and ad-hoc reporting
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and reconciliation processes

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CA, or equivalent is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, with at least 1 year in a senior role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
• Experience with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally, Sage, or similar).
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel(VLOOKUPs, pivot tables).
• Experience in FMCG, wholesale or retail environments or multinational is an advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
