Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Construction Accountant who understands that a balance sheet in construction is a moving target. You will be the financial backbone of our projects, working closely with Project Managers (PMs) to ensure that every dollar of labor, material, and overhead is accounted for.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Job Costing: Manage the full cycle of job costing; monitor budgets vs. actuals and investigate significant variances.
• WIP Reporting: Prepare monthly Work-in-Progress (WIP) schedules and lead monthly reviews with PMs to adjust "Estimated Cost at Completion."
• Revenue Recognition: Apply the Percentage of Completion method to ensure monthly revenue accurately reflects project progress.
• Contract Management: Oversee subcontractor pay apps, lien waivers, and retention (receivable and payable) schedules.
• Compliance: Manage Certified Payroll (if applicable), sales tax exemptions for jobs, and assist with year-end construction audits.
• Change Orders: Track the financial impact of change orders and ensure they are properly integrated into the project budget.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (Attestation required for visa processing).
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of UAE experience in a construction company.
