Senior Accountant

Job Summary:

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and assisting in financial reporting and analysis. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, inventory and cost accounting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and proficient with accounting software.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to take ownership, build processes, and grow into an Accounting Manager role over time.

If you are a bookkeeper running your own bookkeeping firm and are looking to grow your client base, this is not the right role for you. We are looking for someone dedicated to joining Sterlitech as a W-2 employee.


Primary Responsibilities:


Accounting & Close

  • Oversee and support day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  • Reconcile bank, credit card, and payment processor accounts.
  • Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
  • Manage and process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Prepare financial statements and reports for management review.

Inventory & Operational Financial Analysis

  • Support and reconcile inventory and cost of goods sold.
  • Analyze inventory aging, adjustments, and reserves.
  • Support leadership with basic financial analysis tied to business decisions.
  • Provide insights into inventory performance and operational efficiency.

Systems & Process Improvement


  • Assist with NetSuite system ownership by maintaining account usage and process efficiency.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency in financial operations.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless financial reporting and operational efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 4+ years of experience in an accounting role, preferably in a manufacturing, distribution, or product-based businesses environment.
  • Strong understanding of accrual accounting and month-end close processes.
  • Experience with monthly close and reconciliations.
  • Proficiency in NetSuite (highly preferred).
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and inventory accounting principles.
  • Experience with sales tax compliance and reporting.
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Schedule & Work Environment:

  • This can be a full or part time position
  • Remote or onsite at our HQ in Auburn, WA
  • If remote, available to work during Pacific Standard (PST) business hours

We are offering a pay rate of $30-$35 per hour, dependent on experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive compensation plan, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, Life and Disability insurance, FSA, a 401(k) plan, PTO, holidays and more.
