Senior Accountant

Chowdhary and Co Chartered Accountants is UK-based accountancy practice providing services since 1984. The firm has 3 offices in London. We are a reputable ICAEW Chartered accounting firm and ACCA approved employer.

We are looking for a senior client portfolio manager who have UK based accountancy practice experience and served the same position for more then 3 years.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: This is a position that allows an experienced Accountant to acquire operational and leadership experience whilst maintaining their client-facing and hands-on accounting responsibilities. We see this as a position that will prepare a high-performing accountant for a role in team management.

Responsibilities Include But Aren’t Limited Too

• Ability to prepare and submit annual statutory accounts, VAT returns, corporation tax partnership tax returns and SATR
• Supporting a team of Accountants, and a Team Manager, to continuously deliver the agreed level of service
• Training, coaching and mentoring apprentices and Junior Accountants
• Quality control and file reviews of colleagues
• Prepare / review annual and interim financial statements in accordance with accounting standards − IFRS, UK GAAP or generally acceptable accounting standards
• Provide guidance on tax planning, compliance requirements, and financial best practices.
  
  

Knowledge And Experience

• Qualified accountant and member of a professional accounting body (ACCA, ICAP, ICAP (F) or ICAEW).
• Technical understanding of variety of accounting standards, particularly IFRS and UK GAAP.
• Well equipped with UK Taxation Knowledge including (Corporation tax, Capital Gains Tax, Personal tax and VAT) and Hands on Experience in Using different accounting softwares.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills,
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy, Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Proven experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a UK-based accountancy practice. Leadership experience, having managed teams or projects. Knowledge of the UK tax systems and accounting practices. (If you do not have a prior UK-based accountancy practice experience, then please do not apply).
• 1-3 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in international accounting software and systems, especially those used in the UK such as Xero, QuickBooks online, Sage and other Accounts productions software’s, like SAGE Accounts productions Advanced, IRIS and CCH. Expertise in financial reporting and UK tax planning.

• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team. Effective communication skills to liaise with UK-based clients. High level of adaptability to work with international standards and practices.

• Office timings are from 10AM to 7PM, Monday to Friday. Only Peshawar based Candidates are encouraged to apply.
