Position Summary: DreamSeat is seeking a highly analytical and operationally engaged Senior Accountant to lead the Accounts Payable function, support inventory and purchasing analytics, and contribute to treasury planning and financial reporting. Reporting to the VP of Finance, this role is designed for a detail-oriented finance professional who can operate both tactically and strategically, ensuring strong internal controls while delivering actionable insights that support business growth.

This is a high-visibility role that works cross-functionally with operations, procurement, and senior leadership. The right candidate brings a control-oriented mindset, a continuous improvement approach, and the ability to communicate financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.

Essential Functions:

Accounts Payable Oversight & Process Management

  • Lead the end-to-end AP function, including invoice intake, coding, approvals, and payment execution (checks, ACH, wires)
  • Enforce Delegation of Authority (DOA) and internal control compliance across all disbursements
  • Manage vendor relationships, payment terms, and dispute resolution
  • Oversee the weekly cash requirements schedule in coordination with Treasury
  • Ensure timely and accurate AP aging, accruals, and period-end close support

Inventory & Cost Accounting Analysis

  • Monitor inventory levels, turns, and aging; identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory risks
  • Partner with operations and purchasing teams to ensure accurate inventory valuation and cost controls
  • Reconcile the inventory subledger to the general ledger and investigate variances
  • Support cycle counts and physical inventory processes

Purchasing & Spend Analytics

  • Analyze purchasing trends, vendor pricing, and cost drivers to identify savings opportunities
  • Collaborate with procurement to improve vendor terms and optimize working capital
  • Develop and maintain reporting on purchase price variance (PPV) and supplier performance metrics

Treasury & Cash Flow Support

  • Assist in short-term and long-term cash flow forecasting
  • Maintain visibility into upcoming obligations and liquidity requirements
  • Support banking activities including wires, ACH, and account reconciliations
  • Partner with the VP of Finance on working capital optimization initiatives

Financial Reporting & Close Process

  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
  • Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses
  • Contribute to financial statement preparation and management reporting packages
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 5-8+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in distribution, manufacturing, or inventory-driven environments
  • Strong understanding of AP processes, inventory accounting, and cost analysis
  • Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, lookups, and data modeling
  • ERP experience (Infor SyteLine or similar) strongly preferred
  • Experience supporting treasury or cash flow forecasting preferred

Preferred Experience:

  • CPA or CPA candidate
  • Experience in a multi-entity or multi-location accounting environment
  • Familiarity with purchase price variance analysis and supplier performance reporting
  • Background in process improvement or internal controls frameworks

License/Certifications:

  • No specific licenses or certifications required.

Physical Requirements and Conditions:

  • Primarily sedentary role performed in a standard office environment
  • Ability to operate a computer and standard office equipment for extended periods
  • Occasional travel may be required for company events or multi-site coordination
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and in written form

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
