Job Title: Senior Accountant

About the Role

We are seeking a highly disciplined and organized Senior Accountant to manage our Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and comprehensive financial reporting. The successful candidate will ensure that all ledgers remain reconciled, provisions are accurately recorded, and management reporting is delivered with high integrity and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities
1. Accounts Payable (AP) Leadership

  • Verification & Approval: Verify all bills booked by the AP team and submit for physical approval; resolve any query bills with relevant stakeholders.
  • Payment Control: Review vendor advance schedules against Shipping Invoices and POs to ensure all payments are in par with unused credits.
  • Team Supervision: Provide ongoing guidance, training, and supervision to the AP team to ensure efficiency and compliance.
  • Disbursement Oversight: Validate Tentative Payables and monitor freight costs for accuracy and cost efficiency.2. Accounts Receivable (AR) & Revenue Assurance
  • Invoicing Integrity: Verify the accuracy and completeness of the sales registerand ensure prompt invoicing for all customers.
  • Credit & Collections: Review credit note processing and circulate detailed reports of long-outstanding accounts to Sales Heads.
  • Account Maintenance: Regularly monitor customer accounts to ensure balances are updated, reconciled, and accurately maintained.
  • Cash Management: Review petty cash transactions to ensure entries are posted correctly and records are maintained.

3. Month-End Closure & Management Reporting

  • Provision Management: Oversee month-end provisions (Gratuity, Leave Salary, Rent/Lease, Freight, Prepaids, and Audit fees) to ensure the timely closure of books.
  • Treasury & Payroll: Conduct weekly bank reconciliations and provide daily bank balance updates; review salary processing and payroll summary verification.
  • Performance Reporting: Prepare and review the Management P&L at month- end to provide actionable financial insights to leadership.4. Intercompany & External Reconciliations
  • Intercompany Management: Lead the reconciliation of all intercompany accounts across the group, ensuring balances match and cross-charges are documented.
  • External Accounts: Manage year-end reconciliations for external statutory and customs accounts.
  • Discrepancy Resolution: Proactively identify and resolve reconciliation gaps to ensure a clean audit trail.Required Qualifications
  • Experience: 7+ years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a Senioror Supervisory role within the UAE.
  • Software: Advanced proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel (complex formulas, Pivot Tables, and data analysis).
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. Perusing Professional qualification (intermediate level qualification of ACCA or CA) is preferred.
  • Tax Knowledge: Solid understanding of UAE VAT regulations and documentation requirements.
  • Skills: Strong analytical mindset, excellent communication, and the ability to manage strict reporting deadlines.What We Offer
